We took our hike on the O&E Canal yesterday it was ok, but for some reason we were all tired and not really into the hike. We did see some seeds blowing through the air as well as a number of butterflies. 2 Monarch’s, 1 Tiger Swallowtail, at least 2 Spicebush Swallowtails, as well a couple of Red Admirals. No I didn’t get any photos as the battery was dead in my camera. Hopefully next time. We saw lots of plants and wildflowers.
The radish experiments~ we have been doing lots of drawing and graphing with these. 18 out of 20 seeds sprouted in our greenhouse. Our four environments experiment was interesting as the whole cup of water evaporated over the weekend. The saran wrapped seeds aka the rain forest sprouted, the desert ones did nothing and our swamp ones were the dried out ones that we refilled, Cool like home hasn’t done anything as of yet. We have to check our night and day but I’m not sure when. Oops, our day is out of water also. It hasn’t seemed to be that hot but maybe, will add some water and wait a couple of days to see what happens, they had a radicle but not much of one. I’ve been enjoying these experiments but they are moving a bit too fast when you have other things going on. 🙂
