while reading my friends blogs……I was listening to my son The Ark as he found his sister’s polly pocket and had it climbing the window…..it is subdivided by panes of wood. So the polly was holding onto the wood frame screaming out that she couldn’t hold on anymore because her pant pockets were filled with gold, and she was going to fall. She eventually ditched the pants to survive, good thing she had on her bathing suit underneath. “Ahhhh, that feels much better,” She said as she climbed to safety.

I have very strange kids sometimes.

So I finally filled out the application for Univ. of Akron, paid the fee. Then I had to change my pin # for the FAFSA, filled out the FAFSA and submitted it today since it had to be done by Oct. 01 for the spring semester. I hate filling out all that stuff. I also scheduled a visitor day for transfer/adults on Nov. 07. I didn’t want to go with a bunch of teens..some teens think that adult’s don’t belong in college as if there is a cut off for learning…….drives me crazy to think they are going to be running our country in a few years. Ok, enough of my rant, have to get some stuff done.

• Life is busy as usual

• The Princess starts 9 weeks of swim next monday night for her scoliosis, which is looking much better than a year ago.

• I’m doing a Monday night bible study

• College classes are tough but I like themThe husband’s mag job is ending but he can go back to picket duty and is hoping to find another merchandising jobWe took the kids to the zoo last week will post photos soon/Tomorrow I have a meeting in the morning and going out to a play in the evening.Sunday is our presentation for the summer reading clubHomeschooling is going ok, not where I want us but we are moving along slowly. Although we are behind, we are learning better if that makes sense.

• The teens are doing ok, Jasmine got a new job and has left McDonald’s and that please me. She seems to like it. Kendra is behaving a bit better and I’m making her do Sunday school this year and some youth activities.

• Working on getting our 3-6th grade youth group back up and running this year.

• Am pretty happy with my life right now just wish I had a few moments to really enjoy it.

So after a glorious 3 weeks off of college, my fall semester will start on Monday. Because of the other stuff going on in my life right now, I am only taking 2 classes a race class and psychology of personality. They both sound great and doable without driving me totally insane like my spring classes. I think I needed a bit more time off as I’m not quite as rested as I had hoped. I will be going up to the college and picking up my books so that I don’t have to fight the crowds on tuesday. I will probably start reading them at least a little bit.

I still have to get a few supplies for me and Kendra over the weekend. Walmart here I come and I hate Walmart, but we like the poly folders as they hold up the best over the long term and I need cheap…..so that is on the list of things to do. I really want to do some cleaning but would like to take a nature hike if it is not steamy hot or raining.

I’ve been working on a reviving our Kids for Christ program…..we haven’t had one for over a year now and so the youth director and I are tossing around some ideas. I will need to finish putting my idea into hard from by Monday so I can get them to her and have her take them to the board of youth for me. Which means writing two brief articles for  the church bulletin, pricing stuff as I have to give them a tentative idea of a budget.

I actually sat down and did some drawing tonight. I haven’t had time for it with all the chaos that is my life. I can’t wait until i can take more art classes….one day *sigh* It is funny though that I draw the best when listening to music or someone talking, I seem to catch oddball phrases and put them into my drawings.

The ex’s trial is set for early Sept. I’m starting to dread the thought of it. While I want it to be over, I’m afraid of the outcome and it doesn’t matter if he goes to jail or goes free at this point.  Although my life will be easier if he does go to jail, I know that it will be horrible for the children we had together.

Ace, the Princess and the Peanut have to finish up their summer reading by Sunday for the summer reading club for our church. The Ark came in from playing and is finishing up his math…..I love it when my children learn to do things on their own.

Ok, well I’m running dry since I put most of my effort into my drawing tonight.

It was an incredibly beautiful sunny day in the midwest and we decided to take the hike that the boys saw when we went to see the teacher for their evaluations. The nature part of this hike will be posted over here later on.

This library is very tiny and so quaint, they have expanded the downstairs and that is where we try to meet with the teacher who evaluates our home school portfolios.

The forthcoming photos are of a small community that has a section of old houses that have been moved and made over into a cute little city of it’s own. There are some really cool stores here, some of whom I hope to shop at one day. I hope you enjoy the walk.

This store has some great things for my “week of gluttony presents” according to my husband. I hope he remembers that come December.

The ex-husband’s trial has been postponed yet again until either Aug. 24 or Sept. 08th. So very tired of living in limbo. My Princess is sick and I’m behind in my history class, good thing it is only one more week before I can get a break, but I have to finish planning for the kids schooling, during that time. Jesus could come back now.

I’m sorry Ladies, I’ve misplaced my camera cord and the post I promised you is not going to be forthcoming until I find it. I’m a bit sad about it as I have lots of great photos to share with you.
