Busy Days…….

so my ex husband decided without asking that Jasmine needed to come to spend the summer with me. Just what I need an angry hurt teenager. Not like I don’t have anything better to do with my time at all, or even the courtesy of asking? She has been here since Sunday evening, we had a long talk and hopefully she will remember it in the future. So far she has been good, a bit moody and at times angry but she has been listening to me without any problems. She will be 15 in Oct. and I think she is ADHD as well as having an anger management problem. She really is as wonderful child, funny, smart and lovable. If you like to deal with a teen who feels unloved, unwanted and never good enough, or smart enough. Some days I would like to scream at her father and ask him why he messed up our children? It wouldn’t change anything though so I don’t. I just pray for them and try to give them the true meaning of life. Kendra is over today also. Since this is Caedmon’s 2nd. birthday. We will have cake and ice cream and open presents. I still need to wrap his…….;) Amazingly enough Jassy is still knitting every so often, and now I’m teaching Kendra. They are both making dishcloths for the moment. I thought that would be easy enough for them and give them a sense of accomplishment. I’m making one for my mil at the moment. She likes blue, yellow and white so that is the colors. It is nice but not my favorite colors. I need to find a knitting shop around here so that I can pick up yarn for socks as well as a pattern. My church has a knit crochet club and tehy will help you learn if you need help. I guess this has been a modge podge of information. THis is what happens when I don’t write for a while, my thoughts become jumbled.

so I showed Jasmine the dishcloth I had knitted. She loved it and wanted to make one so last night I spent a couple of hours teaching her how to cast on and the knit stitch. She was doing pretty good by the time she left o go to her dad’s. We will see how it goes. I’m happy however that my teen is at least trying. Since she lives with her dad she has in my opinion a bit too much freedom. She is a good kid if a bit on the mouthy side. But on the whole she is really focused and stays out of trouble. God’s gift considering her father has a borderline personality disorder. so that was my evening last night.

the furniture and other things……

Well I found a picture of my new table that is coming, we had to order it so it will be a couple of weeks before it gets here. We just bought 6 chairs for the moment and will buy 2 more as money allows. They havea matching curio cabinet that I would love to have also.

As for my new bed it will be coming with the table and chairs, we bought a king sized pillow top bed. I have bought sheets and a mattress cover for it already. Still need to find a comforter that I like for it. I will be so glad to have a bed that is not 20 years old. as well as have a place for all of us to eat at our own chair at least until Kendra comes over or Jasmine. but we will soon hopefully be able to have a seat for them also.

As for school the psych test was both hard and easy. The multiple choice was a breeze however the essay quetions were really tough this time. I can only hope I got most of the parts that she wanted on there right. as long as I get 3 points out of 5 on each of the questions I will probably keep my A in the class. It certainly wasn’t from lack of studying . Everyone that I saw afterwards had a tough time with the essays. so now I wait and hope that I did ok…….

Life is still a bit crazy here much of the time. Tommy has decided to keep the magazine job for awhile longer as it is a nice cushion for the extra money and soon I will be out for summer break so it won’t be so bad. I decided not to take a class this summer so I can work on getting us organized both around the apartment as well as for school. I plan on studying my math so I can take the math placement test this summer and start on those math courses……..I love all of you will try to check in a bit soon.
