Yes, I’m here

Really, I am.  I’m just a bit busy and slightly panicked about how much needs to be done before I start the kids back to school and I start my classes. I decided to put the last bookshelf together and the books are now on it. I weeded out the books I had borrowed from Katie to return to her.  She will be up in 2 weeks for a wedding so hopefully, she will stop by and get them or pick them up at Renee’s.  I’ve finally got most of the table cleaned off. Praise the Lord!!!! Not the everything has a home yet but it will be so nice to eat a meal there. Noah has only 2 more swim meets. At his last one, he won a heat and got a ribbon. That was great!!! We will see how well he does tomorrow morning. We need to get to the library and return things; I’m hoping the books I ordered on plumbing will start coming in soon. The husband is on vacation in 2 weeks and I’m hoping we can replace the plumbing in the kitchen ceiling so we can fix the ceiling and then the downstairs will be nice. The kitchen will one day need to be updated but that can wait a bit. Then I need to tackle the upstairs but I’m not thinking I will get there until next summer. *sigh*  I am hoping I can finish the upstairs part of the hallway this weekend. I found some terrific material for curtains for the living room and hallway. I”m just debating if I should spend that much money on them. I would love to though. We still need to find/get another  bookcase with deeper shelves for my teacher’s manuals and the photo albums, etc. Next week sometime I have to get to the college and take that math placement test so I can finalize my fall schedule. My sweet princess fell out off bed a couple of weeks ago and displaced her hip. I had her in to my favorite chiro this week and we aren’t sure it was only the fall that shifted her so badly. He thinks it is fixable, but that she might have one leg longer than the other and she truly is pretty crooked. We go back next weds. I will have him adjust me as well.  Our garden is doing ok, we have tomatoes growing all over the place now if they would just get ripe, we have flowers on my green pepper plants, and cucumbers growing. I think our corn stopped growing though and that saddens us. We had 5 ears growing and most of them have stopped. We will try it again next year though. The broccoli is still growing as is our lettuces. So it is not bad for a first year garden attempt. Ok, I have to get some stuff done. ~

Sounds like the end of summer is busy for you. I really need to schedule library time for us this year. If I don’t put it in the schedule than it just doesn’t happen.

I really want the kids to open up to reading different types of stuff. The girls will check out joke books galore if I let her and the boy will check out the same ones over and over. I really need to get both of them reading a wider variety of styles of books.

You have been busy! Congrats to Noah! So sorry about your little one’s hip – I hope it wasn’t too painful. :(

Congrats to Noah!! I hope your daughter is okay.

Aside from the corn, (didn’t you just have 3 stalks?) it is great that it’s doing so well especially since your kids helped plant it. Success is sweet!

I understand about putting off things for the house. I’ve needed new carpet for 15 years. lol

Best wishes on that math exam!! =) And getting the college stuff in order. =)
